Equipment Usage & Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy
In consideration of my usage of all equipment owned by CREST Technologies, Inc., (the “Company”), and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, I, the below named employee, hereby agree with the Company as follows.
I understand that all Company equipment (Internet, intranet, and extranet-related systems, including but not limited to computer equipment, software, operating systems, storage media, network accounts providing electronic mail, Internet access) is provided solely for authorized business purposes in serving the interests of the Company and its clients in the course of normal operations.
I agree to use all such equipment in a legal and ethical manner, abiding by all applicable local, state and federal laws.
I understand that downloading and sharing unlicensed software as well as audio and video content violates copyright laws and is expressly and strictly prohibited.
I understand that I may not tamper with or in any way alter or modify any Company hardware in any way, unless explicitly and previously approved by the President or Vice President of the Company
I agree that I will not leave this equipment unattended at any time, and I will protect it from any and all damage.
I accept full responsibility for this equipment during the time that it has been provided to me, and agree to reimburse the Company for damage or loss of the equipment and/or its accessories up to the cost of total replacement of the item and all peripherals.
I understand that any and all information stored on Company equipment is the sole intellectual property of CREST, including by not limited to Company policies, emails, client information, Company trade secrets, and my work product.
I understand that I am responsible for exercising good judgment regarding the reasonableness of any personal use of Company equipment.
I understand that a breach of this equipment usage policy may subject me to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
I understand and agree that if and when I leave the Company's employment for any reason, I will not delete any system files of any kind (including, but not limited to, data files, user files, and software) from any equipment that the Company has provided to me, and I will return all such equipment to the Company with all such system files fully intact.
In return for the Company's agreement to connect my mobile device (e.g., iPhone, iPad) to its email, databases, and other resources, I understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:
I will protect my devices and wireless accounts and will not share my accounts or passwords with anyone
I will ensure that my devices are password protected at all times, and I will comply with the Company's device security policy
I will notify the Company immediately upon the loss, misplacement, or theft of my devices
I grant the Company the right to erase my device of ALL information (both Company and of a personal nature) in the event of termination or due to loss/misplacement of the device
I will be solely responsible for backing up all personal data (pictures, music, applications, etc.)
I acknowledge that I have received, read, and understand the CREST Technologies' Equipment Usage & Bring Your Own Device policy.
I acknowledge that the Company may change, suspend, or discontinue any or all of the handbook's policies, benefits, or procedures (except the Company's At-Will Employment Policy) at any time in its sole discretion. I agree that CREST will make all final decisions as to the meaning and application of all of CREST's policies, benefits, or procedures. I acknowledge and recognize that this handbook supersedes all prior or existing policies and procedures of the Company.
I further acknowledge and recognize that a violation of these policies and procedures can, at the discretion of CREST, result in disciplinary action up to and including termination, or in certain situations, to my being held personally liable for my actions.
